An Important Word About Natural Cedar:


     Many of our designs feature natural wood posts as an alternative to sisal or carpet covered scratching surfaces.
     At The Nantucket Cat we use only Canadian White Cedar for these natural posts. Our posts come from cedar grown in Northern Ontario where it is de-barked and double peeled to ensure smoothness.

     No preservatives have been added to this timber. It is also naturally insect free. Our Canadian White Cedar posts provide a high quality natural surface that is both safe and eminently satisfying for even the most enthusiastic "scratchers" in any household.
